MIAMI (AP) -- Lisa Leslie had 17 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots in the Los Angeles Sparks' 68-54 victory over the Miami Sol on Friday night. Leslie shot 7-of-13 and Mwadi Mabika added 10 points for the Sparks (8-2), who shot 50 percent from the field (24-of-48) while limiting Miami to 27 percent (17-of-63) shooting. Sheri Sam scored 19 points for Miami (4-7), but no other starter scored more than three points. The Sparks led 35-30 at halftime, but went on a 15-5 run to open the second period. The game was never in doubt from that point as Los Angeles (8-2) opened up a lead that grew to as many as 18. Los Angeles took a 9-2 lead behind Leslie's outside shooting, but the first half had five lead changed and four ties. Both teams were coming in on highs. Leslie had a season-high 21 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in a 90-84 Los Angeles upset over the Houston Comets.
