SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Kedra Holland-Corn scored 20 points as the Sacramento Monarchs pulled away early in the second half to beat Portland 92-76 Sunday night for their third straight victory. Ruthie Bolton-Holifield scored 14 of her 15 points in the first half for Sacramento. Yolanda Griffith scored 14 points, Tangela Smith added 10 and Ticha Penicheiro had 10 assists for the Monarchs (8-4), who made nine 3-pointers and established a season high for points. It was the eighth loss in nine games for Portland (2-8), whose only two wins have come against expansion Seattle. Sophia Witherspoon made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points for Portland. Reserve Alisa Burras had 14 points and Vanessa Nygaard had 10. During a 23-second stretch in the second half, Portland committed three straight turnovers, leading to seven consecutive Sacramento points. The Fire finished with 25 turnovers.
