  RECAP | BOX SCORE

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Adrienne Johnson scored 17 points and Taj McWilliams added 11 points and 11 rebounds to help Orlando beat the Detroit Shock 68-62 Sunday, the Miracle's team-record sixth straight victory.

Orlando (13-6) also got 14 points from Shannon Johnson.

Wendy Palmer had 19 points and nine rebounds for Detroit (8-10), which played without its top three guards -- Dominique Canty, Claudia Maria das Neves and Tamicha Jackson who were all out with leg injuries -- and then lost forward Olympia Scott-Richardson to an ankle injury late in the game.

Anna DeForge, who didn't even play in several early season games, had to play the whole 40 minutes at point guard for Detroit and the fan favorite finished with six points and six assists.

Detroit used a late 10-0 run to take a 34-28 halftime lead, and they were ahead 52-45 edge with 9:42 to play.

But Orlando scored the next eight points, five from Shannon Johnson, to go up 53-52 with 7:33 left.

The teams traded the lead until jumpers by Elaine Powell and Tiffany Wait gave the Miracle a 59-56 lead with 4:45 to go.

After a jumper by Detroit's Elena Tornikidou jumper, Adrienne Johnson hit a 3-pointer to increase the Orlando margin to four.

The Miracle led 65-59 with 90 seconds left, but a layup by Palmer and a free throw by Astou Ndiaye-Diatta pulled Detroit within three with 25 seconds to go.

Adrienne Johnson made one of two free throws, and after Palmer missed, Carla McGhee made two free throws to clinch the game.

Tornikidou added 13 points for the Shock.
