AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Wendy Palmer lost her spot in the starting lineup before scoring 17 points and pulling down eight rebounds Wednesday night to lead the slumping Detroit Shock to a 78-62 victory over the Miami Sol. With Detroit 0-3 since the All-Star break, Shock coach Nancy Lieberman-Cline benched Palmer and Claudia Maria das Neves and started rookies Barbara Farris and Edwina Brown. The moves paid off as Farris pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds. Das Neves scored 11 points and Brown had eight. Milena Flores, with 10 points, was the only Miami player to reach double figures. The Sol (9-16) lost their fifth in a row. The Shock (11-13) shot 32.4 percent in the first half, but held the Sol to 27.6 percent and took a 29-28 lead. Detroit scored on its first three possessions of the second half to lead 35-28.
