SEATTLE (AP) _ Charmin Smith scored seven of her 10 points in overtime Sunday, lifting the Seattle Storm to a 66-58 victory over the Portland Fire. The Storm (6-24) held the Fire to one basket in the five-minute extra session and beat their fellow expansion team for the first time in three meetings. The Fire defeated the Storm 65-58 on June 3 and 72-61 on June 23. Smith scored all 10 of her points after halftime. Known for her defensive prowess, Smith's 3-pointer staked the Storm to a 57-53 lead with 3:20 left in overtime. The Fire pulled within 57-55 with 2:02 remaining, but the Storm outscored Portland 9-3 the rest of the way. Jamie Redd led the Storm with 14 points. Simone Edwards and Stacie Edwards also had 10 points each for Seattle. Vanessa Nygard led Portland (10-20) with 14 points and Sophia Weatherspoon added 13. Sonja Henning sent the game into overtime with a basket at the buzzer, tying the game at 52 at the end of regulation. She also hit her first shot in overtime giving the Storm the lead for good. Portland led 32-24 at halftime.
