PHOENIX (AP) _ First baseman Erubiel Durazo's error opened the way for Pittsburgh's six-run eighth inning Friday night as the Pirates beat Arizona 7-2, snapping the Diamondbacks' season-opening winning streak at three games.

Durazo's inability to field a grounder allowed the tying run to score, then pinch-hitter Kevin Young singled in the go-ahead run, Wil Cordero doubled in two more, Warren Morris drove in one with a sacrifice fly, and Bruce Aven doubled home another.

Steve Finley's second-inning home run had given the Diamondbacks a 1-0 lead that they nursed through seven innings with Arizona's Armando Reynoso and Pittsburgh's Todd Ritchie locked in a tight pitching duel.

Adrian Brown led off the eighth with a double down the right- field line, then moved to third on Jason Kendall's single. Pat Meares walked to load the bases with no outs, and Reynoso was replaced by Dan Plesac.

Brian Giles hit a routine grounder to first, and Durazo picked it up and prepared to throw to home for the force out, but he dropped the ball and everyone was safe. Darren Holmes replaced Plesac, and Young, who also had an RBI single in the ninth, singled to center to make it 2-1.

Cordero hit a deep drive over the glove of Luis Gonzalez in left field to drive in two more, Morris had a sacrifice fly to left and Aven hit a high fly that dropped just in front of a charging Travis Lee in right for a double to knock in the sixth run.

Gonzalez was 4-or-4, three of them doubles to tie a team record.

Ritchie pitched six innings, plus one batter in the seventh. He allowed one run on four hits, struck out three and didn't walk a batter. In seven-plus innings, Reynoso (0-1) allowed three runs on seven hits. He struck out four and walked two.

Jason Christiansen (1-0) retired three of the four batters he faced in the seventh to get the victory.

The lone run against Ritchie came in the second when Finley led of the second with his second homer of the season, hitting Ritchie's 1-2 pitch into the right field seats.

Ritchie was replaced by Christiansen after Gonzalez led of the seventh with a double. Gonzalez moved to third on Durazo's ground out, then Finley hit a sharp line drive to second baseman Warren Morris for the second out. Lee walked, then Lenny Harris hit a soft bouncer to the pitcher to end the threat.

Notes: Pittsburgh's Jimmy Anderson goes against Arizona's Brian Anderson on Saturday in the first Anderson vs. Anderson pitching matchup in major league history. ... Diamondbacks closer Matt Mantei played catch before the game, the first time he's thrown since going on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis. He's expected to throw off the mound next week and then report to Tucson for a rehab assignment. ... Reynoso's pickoff of Meares in the first inning was the 45th of his career. ... Ritchie's 15 victories in 1999 were the most by a Pirate since Doug Drabek went 15-11 in 1992.
