LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP)_ Ray Allen scored 26 points and Tim Thomas added 19 as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Denver Nuggets 95-83 in an exhibition game Tuesday night at Rupp Arena. Allen was 11-of-18 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, and had seven rebounds. Sam Cassell and Lindsey Hunter each had 10 points and Darvin Ham added 11 rebounds for the Bucks (3-1). Voshon Lenard scored 15 points, Antonio McDyess and Raef LaFrentz added 13 each and Nick VanExel had 12 for the Nuggets (1-3). LaFrentz also had nine rebounds and three assists. Allen had 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the first half as Milwaukee took a 57-35 lead. For the half, Denver shot only 25 percent (10-for-40) and was outrebounded 28-20. The Bucks increased the margin to as many as 26 points on a jumper by Michael Redd early in the third quarter. VanExel then scored all 12 of his points during an 18-9 run to pull Denver within 72-57 entering the final quarter. The Nuggets got as close as 83-77 on a jumper by Lenard with five minutes to play but got no closer. Milwaukee shot 47 percent (34-for-73) from the field while the Nuggets shot only 37 percent (31-for-83).
