BOX SCORE
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Pavol Demitra had two goals and an assist in just his second game of the preseason as the St. Louis Blues beat the Atlanta Thrashers 5-1 Sunday. Marty Reasoner had a goal and two assists for the Blues (2-2-1-0), who scored their most goals in a preseason game despite going 0-for-5 on the power play. Backup goalie Dwayne Roloson played the whole game and stopped 24 shots. Dean Sylvester scored the Thrashers' only goal as a two-man advantage expired at the beginning of the second period. Ray Ferraro and Brad Tapper assisted on the goal. Scott Langkow had 32 saves for the Thrashers (1-3-0-0). Demitra, who missed the playoffs last season due to post-concussion syndrome, appeared healthy Sunday. He gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead early in the first period with an unassisted goal, then tapped in a rebound in the third. Demitra also set up Ladislav Nagy for an easy goal with a pass across the crease that gave the Blues a 3-1 lead. St. Louis made it 2-1 less than a minute after Sylvester scored when Scott Young's shot hit Langkow and Reasoner tucked in the rebound. Young added a goal late in the third.
