BOX SCORE
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Toronto rookie Jeff Farkas scored twice and added an assist to lift the Maple Leafs to a 5-2 exhibition win over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday. Farkas opened the scoring on the power play with 3:26 left in the first period, then added his second goal at even strength with 1:16 left in the second to give Toronto a 4-0 lead. Igor Korolev, who assisted on both of Farkas' goals, also scored for the Maple Leafs. Captain Mats Sundin and rookie Don MacLean had Toronto's other goals. MacLean continued an impressive preseason with his team-leading fifth goal on a breakaway midway through the third period. Glenn Healy made 30 saves for the victory. The win snapped Toronto's three-game losing streak and evened its preseason record at 3-3-0-0. Markus Naslund and Peter Schaefer scored for the Canucks, who lost for the first time in five NHL exhibition games (3-1-1-0). Combined with center Andrew Cassels, Naslund and Schaefer have formed Vancouver's top line in the preseason with 17 points in three games together. Vancouver's highly touted Swedish twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin _ selected second and third overall in the 1999 entry draft _ watched Sunday's loss from the press box but are expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday's home game against the expansion Minnesota Wild.
