BOX SCORE
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ Antti Aalto's goal with 29 seconds remaining gave the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks in an exhibition Sunday night. Aalto scored on a 3-on-1 breakaway after Teemu Selanne dug the puck out of the right-wing boards and passed to Paul Kariya. Aalto received a Kariya pass and fired a wrist shot inside the right post. Scott Thornton gave San Jose (2-2-1) a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 6:48 of the second period. Matt Cullen of Anaheim (3-3) tied the score with one second left in the second period on another power-play goal. Aalto replaced center Steve Rucchin on the Ducks' top line. Rucchin will miss about one month with a broken left hand after injuring it in Friday night's exhibition against the Los Angeles Kings.
