First Round Picks: No. 27 (from Devils -- option to Bruins)
1999-2000 Record: 42-29-11 (1), 96 points (9th overall)
What they need
With Patrick Roy turning 35 at the start of next season and one-time goalie of the future Marc Denis being
shipped to the Columbus Blue Jackets, a goaltender could be in Colorado's plans.

Recent draft history
In the 1990's, the Quebec/Colorado franchise made 15 first round selections. Of those 15 players, 10
saw action with NHL clubs during the 1999-2000 season. However, only four of those 10 players suited up for the Avalanche (Alex Tanguay, Martin Skoula, Marc Denis, Adam Deadmarsh).
