PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Cold weather didn't prevent Randy Johnson
from continuing his early-season dominance.

Johnson, pitching on a 49-degree night, struck out 11 batters in
6 2/3 innings Tuesday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks snapped a
three-game losing streak with a 10-2 victory over the Philadelphia
Phillies.
Johnson (5-0) allowed two runs and three hits. He recorded the
129th double-digit strikeout game of his career and his fourth in
five starts this season.
"It wasn't that cold," said Johnson, who threw 117 pitches.
"The guys got me runs and it was my job to preserve it. ... The
more pitches I don't throw early in the season, I'll be that much
better later in the season."
Kelly Stinnett had his second, two-homer game of the season and
drove in four runs to lead Arizona. Travis Lee and Steve Finley
also homered for the Diamondbacks.
The Phillies, who were coming off a 1-6 road trip, have lost four straight. But, they are the only team to score more than one run off Johnson this season. Johnson went 8 2-3 innings in a 6-4 victory over Philadelphia on opening day. He completed games in his three other starts.
"That was pretty tough weather to pitch in, especially for the
breaking ball," Arizona manager Buck Showalter said. "He's
spoiled us so much with the way he's pitched. We just ride it."
Arizona took a 2-0 lead when Stinnett hit a two-run homer in the second off Chris Brock (0-3). Stinnett hit his sixth homer in the seventh inning, a two-run shot that made it 10-2. It was the third two-homer game of Stinnett's career.
"I was looking for something up, got good wood on it and the wind helped it," Stinnett said of his first homer.
Arizona made it 3-0 in the third after Tony Womack led off with a triple to right-center and scored on Jay Bell's grounder.
Doug Glanville's two-run single cut the deficit to 3-2 in the third.
Lee made it 4-2 by lining his fourth homer over the right-center
field wall to lead off the fourth. It was the seventh homer Brock
has allowed in 24 innings this year.
Brock allowed five runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
"It's frustrating," Brock said. "I went out there trying to keep the team in the game, made some bad pitches that they hit out."
Johnson tied his own team record with six consecutive
strikeouts. He struck out the final two batters in the third,
fanned the side in the fourth and struck out one in the fifth
before Brock grounded out to first to end the streak.
"It's not fair," Phillies manager Terry Francona said.
"Everybody keeps talking about the velocity of his fastball, but
he kept dropping down. He was hitting both sides of the plate with
his fastball and slider."
Johnson started a six-run seventh for Arizona by slamming a double off the right-center field wall. Brock, who surrendered Johnson's double, retired Womack on a grounder and struck out Bell before getting lifted for Trever Miller.
Miller hit a batter, threw a wild pitch that scored Johnson, walked a batter and gave up a three-run homer to Finley that made it 8-2.
"He works hard on his hitting," Showalter said of Johnson.
"He doesn't like to get embarrassed doing anything."
Game notes
Curt Schilling threw 97 pitches in a five-inning rehab
start at Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday and is expected
to start Sunday when the Phillies play St. Louis. Schilling,
recovering from shoulder surgery, allowed nine hits, two runs,
struck out seven and walked one. "It's over. I felt better than
last time. I'm ready to go," said Schilling, who will join the
team on Wednesday. ... Phillies infielder Tomas Perez cleared
waivers and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Scranton
Wilkes-Barre. Perez was waived when the team claimed Brian Hunter
off waivers from Atlanta last Friday. ... Johnson has held
opponents to two earned runs or less in 23 of his last 25 starts.
