SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) _ Chris Webber scored 19 points and Predrag Stojakovic added 16 Wednesday night as the Sacramento Kings opened the preseason with a 107-83 victory over the Utah Jazz. Webber made 8-of-11 shots in 22 minutes, and Stojakovic, a reserve last year, started at small forward and played 19 minutes. Stojakovic made several long perimeter shots as the Kings took a 90-55 lead into the fourth quarter. Scott Pollard had 12 points and five rebounds, all in the first half, and Doug Christie added 11 points and Jason Williams had nine assists. Karl Malone was ejected with 9:57 left in the third quarter, finishing with two points and four rebounds in 13 minutes. Nineteen-year-old rookie DeShawn Stevenson scored seven points. Donyell Marshall had 16 points and nine rebounds in his debut with the Jazz. Greg Ostertag added 13 points and seven rebounds. The Kings took the lead early in the first period and never trailed, building the margin to 10 points after one quarter and going ahead 57-33 at halftime. The lead increased to over 30 points as the Kings scored frequently on fastbreaks in the third quarter. Utah didn't go over the 50-point mark until late in the third quarter when they trailed 86-51.
