America East is the only league in the country that returns all of its first-team all-conference members. All five were juniors last season. Eight of the league's top 10 players from a year ago are back.
For the first time in conference history two former players of the year will be playing in the same season, Mike Pegues of Delaware (1999) and Craig Claxton of Hofstra (1998).
Delaware's Mike Brey is the only active league coach with multiple conference titles.
America East has placed a team in the NCAA Tournament and the NIT in two of the last three years, but did not win a postseason game in that period.
