  • In the last 12 years, Murray State has an .808 winning percentage (147-35) in the OVC's regular season and has won or shared 11 of the last 12 regular-season titles. The Racers haven't lost more than six games in the league since the 1986-87 season. They have won eight of the last 12 OVC Tournament titles.

  • In March, the OVC will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA South Regional at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tenn.

  • Southeast Missouri State's William "Bud" Eley, the OVC Player of the Year last season, is now playing in Istanbul, Turkey.

  • Austin Peay's Trenton Hassell spent part of the summer at the Nike camp in Indianapolis as a counselor and he played against other top collegiate players during evening sessions before pro scouts.

  • Middle Tennessee's Fernando Ortiz, who played a key role for the Puerto Rican national team at the World University Games, is one of four foreign players on the Blue Raiders' roster.

  • Three players from the OVC ranked among the top 20 nationally in 3-pointers made per game last season: Tennessee Tech's Josh Heard (3.6) was fourth, Tennessee State's Jamie Roberts (3.1) was 10th and Eastern Kentucky's Whitney Robinson (3.0) was 20th.

  • Morehead State's Erik Brown, the OVC scoring champion (19.3 ppg) last season as a freshman, transferred to Louisville.

  • Bret Campbell, a top assistant at Austin Peay under Dave Loos for the last seven years, is now the head coach at Tennessee-Martin.

  • Murray State has the nation's longest current home court winning streak, 43 games, dating to the last regular-season game of the 1995-96 season.

  • Southeast Missouri State reached the 20-victory plateau last season for the first time since joining Division I in 1991-92.
