SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- Anson Carter scored the go-ahead goal with 9:06 remaining in the third period as the Boston Bruins rallied for a 3-2 exhibition victory over the Florida Panthers. The Bruins erased a one-goal deficit 4:29 into the third when Dave Andreychuk, who signed as a free agent at the end of July, notched his first preseason goal. Carter scored his third goal to put the Bruins in front as he fired a slap shot from just inside the blue line past goaltender Sean Burke, who finished with 35 saves. Scott Mellanby got Florida on the board 4:08 into the contest with a shorthanded goal. Steve Heinze answered 25 seconds later while the Bruins were still on the power play. Rookie Denis Shvidki put the Panthers ahead again with his second goal 2 1/2 minutes into the second. Rob Tallas made 23 saves for Boston.
