MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- David Legwand, the second overall pick in the 1998 draft, scored a power-play goal 23 seconds into the third period as the Nashville Predators rallied for a 2-2 exhibition tie with the St. Louis Blues.

Blues enforcer Kelly Chase took a tripping penalty with 45 seconds left in the second period and Legwand, who appeared in one game last season, capitalized in the opening minute of the third.

Kimmi Timonen also tallied on the power play for Nashville, which is winless in four preseason games (0-2-2).

Lubos Bartecko assisted on goals by Jamal Mayers and Barret Jackman for the Blues, who moved to 1-1-2.

Brent Johnson stopped seven of eight shots in the first half of the game and Jamie McLennan gave up one goal on 13 shots thereafter.

Tomas Vokoun made 13 saves for Nashville in the first 30:14 and Chris Mason turned aside all 14 shots he faced.

The game drew only 4,802 fans to the Bradley Center, home of the International Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals.
